If you want to enjoy a great movie you should watch " The Crying Game", an original and interesting movie very different from the Hollywood ones.
The story begins with the kidnapping of a Bristish soldier (Jody) by some terrorists of the IRA (Irish Republican Army). While he is kepped prisioner, he and the man in charge of him (Fergus) become kind of "friends" because of all the time that they spend together. Jody persuades Fergus to look for his girlfriend who lives in London, in order to take care of her after he is killed.
To our surprise, Jody gets killed not by the terrorists as we might have thought but accidentally by a car when he is trying to escape. After this, Fergus hides from his partners and he goes to London to look for Jody's girfliend (Dil). He is attracted by this woman and he defends her from an annoying man that was bothering her. That's how they begin their relationship.
After a couple of meetings, Fergus realizes that Dil is not a woman but a man. At first, he is very confused but hen he manages to deal with that. Suddenly, his expartners find him again, this time they want him to kill a judge and if he refuses, they will kill Dil. Of course he accepts the proposal in order to accomplish the promise that he'd made to Jody.
Many unexpected events made Fergus unable to kill anybody and that both of his partners die, but in order to protect Dil he declares himself guilty and gets in jail. The movie ends when Dil visits him there and Fergus tell her an anecdote that Jody told him once.
You should not miss the opportunity of watching this movie you won't regret.
